How to create minimum charge line with quantity? (Billing/FICA)

Hi All,

How to create minimum charge line with quantity? When a customer consumes less than minimum charge, a created invoice used minimum charge instead of consumption and the G/L lines created on FICA document does not have consumption quantity. Therefore when user ran transaction FPT8, They don't know quantity.

We tried to add quantity to flat rate variant(LUMSUM01) by creating new custom variant and add QAUNT so that program will pass quantity into GL line of FICA documents. This does not work. With flat rate line type, quantity does not get passed to FICA.

We tried using variant QUANT01 with price zero. It did pass to FICA but it created 2 lines. Let's say quantity to pass is 5 CCF.

First line created with 0.01$ and quantity 5.001 CCF.

Second line created with -0.01$ and quantity 0.001 CCF.

Total quantity would be 5.002 CCF which is wrong.

Is there any other variant to use in rate steps or FICA user exist to pass quantity into flat rate G/L line?

Or is there any better reports than transaction FPT8  so FICA user to see quantity for documents with only minimum charge?

Thank you,

Chaiphon

Hi Chaiphon,

We are also facing the same issue having extra two lines posted (0.01$ and -0.01$)  with QUANTI01 and zero price. How did you resolve the issue ?

Sathyadeep,

We enhance FPT8 using enhancement framework to allow negative quantity and apply correct sign to quantity then the total is correct.
