SNOTE: Newer version Notes

Hi,

We have a Note implemented via SNOTE in our system...

The said Note has now come out with a newer version.

Thus, we downloaded the Note using the "Download latest version" option in SNOTE...

However, it still shows as "Completely Implemented" instead of "Obsolete version implemented"...

The log shows version 5 downloaded & list of versions also show both versions...

Is this because there are no changes in the newer version ?

We wish to implement the new version, include this new version in a TR & transport it across the landscape (de-implementing & re-implementing the Note is to be preferably avoided since its a UI fix & de-implementing it would entail downtime)...please advise...

Hello Saba,

If you already have the version 3 of SAP note #1752263 , all you need to do is download the note again via SNOTE and implement it. It will autotically implement the version 5 and the status of the note will continue as "Completely Implemented".

Thank you Henrique...but it doesn't allow me to implement it after downloading the new version...says "already completely implemented"...

And are you sure that you are currently in the version 3? It seems it is already in version 5.

Hello Abhishek & Henrique,

That's exactly my problem !

I just "downloaded" the latest version 5...& this is my log...not sure how it got implemented on its own !

Which makes me think maybe there's no code change between 3 & 5...

Anyway thank you so much for all the great help...I've solved this problem in another (not so nice ) way...so will close this thread now

It's 1752263 for SPM.....version 3 in place...need version 5...
