Hi,

,

After system copy

      1. What action should we do for printers having access method as

        F

        U -->Printer host say XYZ

        S -->say printer host ABC

      If there is any other information based on experience of system copy ,should we do for printers?

      2. How should we change old entries appearing in AL11.

      3. For BW, should we take any action

          e.g

          1. RSA1--->source system connection etc.

Vinay

Hello

Any references to the old system name should be modified and pointed to the new server name.

Eg: Tx SPAD, RZ10 Profiles, RZ03, RZ04, SMLG, RFC's etc.

Hello

For printers call Tx SPAD - Spool Servers - Display - Edit - Delete the source server and assign the target server here.

For AL11 have you imported the source system profiles ?

What exactly is the difference you notice here ?

If the system copy was done for a BW system then you need to recreate the sources systems.

184322 - Procedure after DB copy of BW source systems

325525 - Copying and renaming systems in a BW environment

325470 - Activities after client copy in BW source systems

886102 - System Landscape Copy for SAP NetWeaver BW

If the system copy was done for an ECC system then you need to disconnect the existing source systems and reconnect to the correct systems.

Hello Vinay,

AL11 Entries : Incase you want to retain the previous entries of the Target system then you can create an TR for the table USER_DIR and import it during the post-processing.

Printers: Export the table TSP03 ( Via TR or other DB method ) as Pre-steps & Import it later.

BI Post Processing:Check the link  http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-41013

Hi Vinay,

Initially do your pre-steps by taking screenshots of your requirement  .

For source system connection , you need to know the connection name , username and password,Logical system name  so that system connection becomes active after system copy is done

Further after system copy , you need to run BDLS

Regarding printers , take an export and then import .

Below link will guide you :

http://blogs.technet.com/b/lobapps/archive/2010/09/08/database-refresh-exporting-printers-in-a-non-p...

Regarding AL11 details,refer below link as again you need to export and import :

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-45517
