Hi Experts,
Good Day!
I have an issue with file sender adapter.
Issue:Suppose a file was placed in a directory (in FTP folder) and in the directory itself showing as file was pick by PI.But the message was not arrived to PI.we have time interval to pick the messages from FTP to PI(i.e For every 15 mints the file was pick by PI.At particular time the file was not pick by PI).
Mode :Asynchronous.
Could you please let us know the reasons for the above issue.
Regards,
Raj.
Hi, Rajesh
You need to make sure that your Pi system collect that file when it's already competely written by the sender system . So, set a value to Msec to Wait Before Modification Check parameter in your sender communication channel (Additional parameter)

Hi Rajesh,
Check in channel for file name , if it is * no issues, otherwise check the name of file which is coming from source and name which you mentioned in the channel, both should be same. (This is basic check)
Check whether communication is working fine or not.
Test in QA system (Ask source team to place the file in quality system directory), you will get to know what is the issue.

Neelima.

check if another PI in your landscape (DEV\QA\PROD) is sntaching the file and you are looking for it in the wrong enviornemnt.
it may have created a message in another SAP PI system.

Do communication channel monitoring. Check if the file is being delivered to the receiver or not. If not, then you know that there might be some mistake you might have done, while configuring receiver communication channel. Correct it and check again.

--> Please make sure the file contains some data to process.
2. For every 15 mints the file was pick by PI.At particular time the file was not pick by PI).
--> Please check in communication channel monitoring if the channels are active and if they are polling the FTP. try stopping and Starting the corresponding File Sender channel.

Hi,
File was picked by PI , but message is not processing.
1) Check the sender communication channel, whether message ID is generated or not or channel is in error state.
2) Check the message monitoring in RWB,
3) Check in SXI_monitor.

Hi Rejesh,
if cc logs look fine try stop and start the channel, edit the cc and activate it.
you can also restart the file adapter services.

Hi Rajesh,
Please check the possible cases
1) Processing mode of the Sender channel (Delete or Archive)
2)What sort of Configuration you are using ? (Classical or ICO).
3)Check the PI User have all the required access to Process the file
4)If you are using the ICO then we need to check in the Runtime Work bench , providing the details like sender and receiver configuration details.
5) Please provide the log from the channel monitoring from the RWB---->Component Monitoring
Thanks,
Vijay Kumar K.V.N

Hi Rajesh,
Check if there is any exception in the communication channel monitoring. (RWB-Component Monitoring-Adapter engine - communication channel monitoring) and check your channel.
