Why Tax jurisdiction field is always in Display?

Dear All,

While following the thread--http://scn.sap.com/thread/3462617

I got a doubt--for my account group always this field is in display in control data tab in general data for my customers(Create mode/Change)

I made this field optional in OBD2 and Central control at Logistics general path also.

(Log-General>>>Business partners>>>customers>>>Control)

But still it is in display.

What and where the info provided to system --to show this field to be in display???

Any exits are there to make it optional or any other customizations.

Pl help for better understanding.See the screen shot too for path.

Hi,

We don have such control settings some where to keep filed in display except OBD2 settings.

FYI,see below screen shot check over here.Through below path,we can restrict.

Thanks,

Dear Naren,

Before suggesting pl try with the path i suggested for one field for the account group--

then you will change your suggestion of-- """We don have such control settings some where to keep filed in display except OBD2 settings.""""

Hi,

I made this field optional in OBD2 and Central control at Logistics general path also.

(Log-General>>>Business partners>>>customers>>>Control)

But still it is in display.

Kindly do what I have shared screen shot of path and let me know the result first ( create customer centrally -General data-Address tab ).

Thanks,

Naren

Dear Naren--we both are sailing in the same way...

You are in Fin-Acct Boat and i am in Log-General Boat.

One interesting thing i never observed the path""define screen layout per activity(customers)-even though it is just below the path of ""define screen layout per customers--which i will be using most frequently.

Thanks yar for teaching new thing.

But here also if you make Tax jurisdiction field as optional--still it is in display while creating customer---why?????

Try at your end also and let me know...

Hi,

Kindly maintain tax jurisdiction in the field " Tax jurisdiction" in the address tab manually then see in Control Tab.

Note:FYI,please see F1 help of this field in control tab.

Thanks,

Yes--you are right--The field is in Optional in Address tab But showing as Display in Control tab.

Now if i change the status to Display as per the path you suggested --it is coming in display

I forgot that this can happen even to the field of transportation zone too.

thanks dear for help & sorry yar for troubling you.

Pl Help me in Thread--http://scn.sap.com/thread/3465680.
