Input field Suggest Value Property

Hi,

I have created an input field with Suggest Value property set as true.

The list of values are shown when i enter a specific character, however when there is no values for that input field with given search input character it shows an message 'No matches found' which is standard.

My question is, is there any possibility to remove or hide that message 'No matches found' from displaying in the WD screen.

Which method gives this message to the screen?

Hi,

The suggest value is totally equal to value help results.

We can only change results by force using a search help exit.

See the sample search help WDR_TEST_H_SPFLI_EXIT and exit TEST_SHLP_2_COLUMS.

My idea for "No matches found" message :

Make a search help exit.

If DISP step and there's no result,

then add a line of result with empty key and a text "No matches found".

I am not getting such messages when I enter value which is not found in search help.

I think standard behavior of suggested by value property will not through any message if no matches found.

Could you please attach snap shot of the message. So that we can look into the issue in detail.

I have tried using airline field here but no message being displayed here.

Is the message appears for all fields or only for airline?

If only for airline, then check the search help exit attached and there could be message populating if no matches found.

This is not happening only for airline, just shared an example. I get to all scenarios.

I have a Custom search help exit wirtten for this, but not sending any message to it.

The 'No matches found message' will display in Netweaver 702 relevant service packs. However this message will no longer appear in Netweaver 731 and higher versions. So the option is to import the relevant enhancement pack.

IMHO you cannot simply remove this message as this message will be generated by script call which will be generated by internal html when building the listbox.
