Hi Gurus,
We have a problem on creating documents in SD, some of the sales order have a lot of items, could be over 2000 items in a order, delivery and billing document, just wondering if someone give some experience on this, and give some advice, thanks .
we are going to using the batch input for the item, the concern is if SAP has any limit on the line item number and the performance of batch input.
Thanks.
Please go through the below tread which will answer your all queries.
Maximum no of line items allowed in sales order
thanks,
Srinu.

Hi
See also SAP Note 103212 - Bad performance during SD document update, and related notes.
Other useful notes:
Related with summarizing in FI as the link by Sniru mentions: SAP Note 36353 - AC interface: Summarizing FI documents
SAP Note 154091 - Performance in delivery process: Collective note
SAP Note 189523 - Performance in deliv.process: Advance clarification
SAP Note 192423 - Delivery Processing Performance: Consulting
Be careful with userexits, enhancement and VOFM subroutines (in copy rules, splitting in delivery and billing document, formula and requirements in pricing). Check also if SIS is working and how it is been populated.
Other possible sources of troubles: pricing, batch determination and COPA integration.
I hope this helps you
Regards
Eduardo
PD: I forget, to mention it, avoid additional sorting criteria in billing document. See Note 646563 - Sorting of billing items according to characteristics for further information.
