Hello,
Before the client copy, you should run the Report RSCLICHK to check the dictionary differences between the 2 clients.
You can refer to these notes for efficiently copying the Production client and if you want to exclude any tables for quicken the client copy.
Note 489690 - CC INFO: Copying large production clients
70290 - CC-INFO: Excluding tables with 'RSCCEXPT'

Hi,
First of all you need to check that the both the system are on same release.
Try to run a test run to check how many resources you need from space in db.
Just configure Local stms with one virtual system in Sandbox and copy the cofile and the data file from the production to the trans directory of the SBX system.
Thanks
