dianostics agent and Host agent

Hello All,

recently installed Solman 7.1  with Windows , SQL server .

Below is the Solution manager 7.1 Host agent and diagnostics agent details .

Diagnostic agent details on Solman :

1,Diagnostics agent and Host agent needs to upgrade on Solman ?

2,Diagnostics agent can be upgrade ? or we have uninstall and install latest version .

3,Diagnostics agent will install along with Host agent latest version ?

4,Host agent separately upgraded to latest version .

4,What version of Diagnostics agent and host agent need to install on managed systems (ABAP and JAVA systems)

Based on Solman 7.1 Diagnostics agent and host agent version , managed systems also upgraded ?

Please advise .

Dia agent upgrade normally means uninstall and reinstall with new version, check the installation guide under Diagnostics Agents - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki question 1

Both are independent exe, But DIA agent start from version 7.3 installs the host agent automatically.

4. Host agent separately upgraded to latest version

yes, you can upgrade both DIA and host agent individually

Based on Solman 7.1 Diagnostics agent and host agent version , managed systems also upgraded ?

Hello All,

.  By the default, the DAA in solution manager 7.1 SPS08  is already installed , SAP Host Agent version is compatible with the Diagnostics Agent version ?

SAP host agent and Diagnostics agent version details are mentioned above .

Hi,

Host agent is independent from diagnostics agent version, just keep Host Agent at the lattest version and you will be OK.
