Hello,
almost all of our business applications are written with WD Java. Now, there is a discussion the have a more flexible UI.
Is there a possibility to integrate SAPUI5 into Web Dynpro Java? I mean just to change the view layer in the MVC pattern. Is there any open interface to connect SAPUI5 with control layer in WDJ?
Maybe I am totally wrong with my thoughts...but any answer would be appreciated!
Thanks
Christian
SAP UI5 is an alternative to WDJ.
So, if you have to decide to do away to migrate from WDJ technology(for strategic reasons) then you have to re-implement the solution in other available options.
Available options:
1. UI5 - SAP is investing the new features in this technology. It shall be their recommended UI for custom application esp. for web-portal and mobile.
2. WDA - SAP's recommendation for business applications running only on SAP.
Apart from this SAP is planning for VC5 a super-charged version of old Visual Composer. Its still un-released and may not be a real alternative for WDJ.
But, UI5 cannot be integrated into WDJ. They are two different entities.

Sharath
