ZMHF - errors relating to tasklist when creating new document

I am working with transaction type ZMHF - a standard copy of SMHF. When I create a change document of type ZMHF and assign my maintenance project to it the maintenance cycle created for the project is automatically filled in the change document. But when I save this document I get the following errors:

• there is no active tasklist in the assigned project
• Not linked to an active project
• No link to maintenance cycle.

The document is then is status In development (E0002) and the cycle field is blank again.

When I do the same with the standard SMHF transaction, the document does not give errors and can be processed further and the cycle field stays filled.

Any ideas what is missing or wrong?

Found it myself - I noticed the In Development status in ZMHF status profile was set as the initial status. When I marked the Created status as Initial all worked fine!

Normally this type of issue arises due to developer role missing, please check the below discussion

Also better switch on the trace and check the authorization issue on particular status chnage and solve it.
