Parallel Inspection of QM lot

Dear Experts,

I'm having  a material which is tested two times after the GR. Testings are done parallely  using  two samples. These two tests are done in two departments/ personals. Inspection lot can be released after passing both tests only. Please give some ideas in representing this in SAP QM.

Currently an inspection lot is generated but it is released by one person. This practice creates conflicts between department who does two testings.

Regards,

Jeewana

Worth to separate this into 2 operations in quality inspection plan for better visibility and authorizations.

Anyway there is 1 relaase  for one QM lot.

I'd take Arko's suggestion one level further.  You can set up in configuration such that you can approve an operation.  It has no current functionality in SAP at this time.  But you could set up workcenters for each operation and assign security to the users appropriately.

Each area would then have the responsibility to "approve" their own operations.

For the UD you can have either group do the final UD, or use automatic UD's, but in any case, you would use a user exit to check to make sure that both operations have been approved since SAP has no built in functionality for this yet.  Look at user exit:

  QEVA0010UD: Usage decision check

Configuration area is:  QM-->Quality Inspection-->Results Recording-->Make Settings for Operation Completion

Hi,

You can use Sampling Drawing Procedure functionality for this scenario. You have to create Sampling Drawing Procedure by using tcode QPV2, maintain Fixed number as 2 under Primary Sample tab.

Assign this SDP in Inspection plan header with Inspection Point 200.

While GRN, System ll create Inspection Lot & generate 2 Primary Samples. You can record result for sample no. 1 & Sample no. 2 under Result Recording Screen.

Try this scenario in development server....

Hi,

You can use the functionality 'Origin Result data'. This way you can record the results against a common MIC twice and mention the origin accordingly against them to track who entered the results (say Lab1 and Lab2).
