Media for installation of NetWeaver BW 7.3

Hi All,

I need some help regarding the installation of NetWeaver BW 7.3 on my local machine.

I'm going to set up an development environment for BW 7.3 and my intention is to install this on a virtual machine. I would like to install a dual stack of NetWeaver (Both APAP and Java)

The issues im facing are:

1. Which media should I use from SAP Support Central? I have access to download software but I cant really find out which zip-files I should use.

2. Does anyone have a installation guide on how to install NetWeaver BW 7.3 step-by-step (Searched the forum and there's many instructions out there but perhaps you could recommend a best-practice.

3. Which OS on the virtual machine do you recommend? Linux or Microsoft Windows Server?
