Mapping between source and target

Hello,

I came across one of the following questions while looking for XI questions:

"Source element occurs once whereas the target element it is mapped to is produced 3 times when the mapping is executed. Why does this happen?"

Could you pls. provide me insights into this.

May be the min occurance of the target node was set as 3 in the target data type

Gajendra,

if you have source field which occures only once and in target it needs to many noof times say 3 times . so to get it 3 times with 1 source we use it.
