Monitoring ITS with CCMS

Hello:

I want to monitor the ITS from RZ20 in my R/3. My its is 6.20 patchlevel 22 with Linux and my R/3 is 4.6C. I have followed the installation in note 418285.

The problem is I have in my RZ20 the new MTE's with this messages:

MTE class ITSRootContext : No MTEs currently available

MTE class ITSselfH : No MTEs currently available

What can I do?

Hi Tony:

I think I have configured the monitor in a correct way. I followed the note 418285 step by step. I have configured the saposcol too in the ITS and I can see in RZ20 of my R/3 a monitor with the info of the operating system of my ITS: Filesystems, CPU, Paging, ...

The problem is when I am configuring the RZ20 418285 says in section:

'B.) Setting up the monitors in the R/3 CCMS monitoring environment'

I follow the steps (I create the Monitor Set 'Early Watch Alert' and the monitor EWA ITS) such as the nota says. Then I define the job SAP_CCMS_PERFDB_COLL but when I go to RZ20 and select the MTE to choose "Display Details" I see the message:

Operation cannot be carried out for the following nodes (MTE):

Node name (MTE) EWA ITS

Type Virtual

Any Idea?

Hi Felipe,

Are you 100% sure that the ITS is configured correctly ?

It it isn't, it won't report into the R/3.

Versions-wise, everything should be fine.

- check that the CCMS agent is running correctly

- check that ITS is configured correctly

- check that the machine shows up in the RZ20.

whats the platform ITS is running on ? windows or linux ?

Its this your first attemt to configure CCMS monitoring ?

I think you are wrong. Look about releases in note:

Minimum releases:

-> ITS 4.6D C4, patchlevel 308 or higher

-> ITS 6.10, patchlevel 7 or higher

-> ITS 6.20, patchlevel 5 or higher (Windows and Linux)

-> R/3 monitoring system, release 4.6C or higher

My R/3 is 4.6C and my ITS is 6.20 patch level 22.

Hello Filipe,

Sorry, I don't think it's possible. The CCMS Agent requires 4.6DC4 and higher, as mentioned in note 418285.
