Creating Article

Hello Friends

While creating a single article , on Listing screen : While executing the listing after checking the box for manual assortment listing, error states  'no assortments listed for the Distribution chain selected? So Does it mean , I don't have to Execute listing at this stage? Or Do I have to Assign the Assortments to the Distribution chain? What is the Procedure? What do we need to Configure before creating an article?

Hi Jove,

for listing, you use a listing procedure. The listing procedure determines, in which assortments the articles will be listed. There are different procedures available in SAP standard - so which configuration and master data requirements you have to set up before listing the article depends on your listing concept.

Basically in your case: with the listing procedure you use in listing screen, the system finds no assortment to list the article in. Thats what the error message says. Why, one cannot say without knowing the listing procedure.

Hey Tobias,

                   Thank you for the link. As I hv already read that article. But there are certain things we find sometimes so hard to find out. Is there any video or tutorial which you know which actually helps to teach it step by step when creating as article. It will be so helpful.

Hi,

Before creating the article, make sure that you have created an assortment where its corresponding Merchandise category and Assortment users have been assigned to it (sites)

Hi Jove,

When a site is created in IS Retail, system also creates a local assortment. So in Article Master, in Listing tab, also check "Local Assortment" option and then execute listing. With this option activated, system will not find for any assortment in the given distribution chain and will be able to include the local assortment for sites created in that chain.
