No alerts in //AMON1

Hi All,

The alerts are visible in planning book but not able to see them in /SAPAPO/AMON1 alert monitor.

Belwo are the check's I done...

• Alert profile is available and Data view, planning book, Selection ID and overall profile assignment is correctly in place.
• Profile is assigned to associated user ID's.
• Period is set to absolute time interval for current full year.
• Alerts are set to generate in background in process chain which runs daily.
• Process chain alert step is defined for alert generation is comprises same data view, planning book and selection id assignment same as in alert profile.
• Associated MACROs are defined and assigned in the activity of process chain.

Can you please suggest what is being missing and the cause the alerts are not visible in /SAPAPO/AMON1.

Hi Deepak,

Plaese ensure that the selection is 'exact' i.e don't contain any wildcard(*).The alerts will not be visible if you generate alerts for a selection with *. The reason for that is that during alert generation a selection ID is generated for the given selection and this stored in a DB table.

Hi,

In order to see SDP DB alerts or SDP dynamic alerts  for the given planning book without specifying the data view, it is required to create an empty entry in the "Database alerts" or "Dynamic alerts" areas when you maintain your SDP alert profile. Otherwise, no alert will be displayed.

After you have maintained your alert profile (any), you should display alerts by clicking on the button 'Redetermine Alerts'. If you make any change in the alert profile (e.g. define new objects) and redetermine alert directly, no alerts will be shown for the new changes. In order to see alerts for these changes, you have first to save the alert profile or save again the overall profile.
