Managing profile parameters for several SAP systems

Hi experts,

Is there a way to view centrally from the SAP Solution Manager the profile parameters for systems registered in the Landscape? (SMSY). Given the EWA already makes checks over several parameters, I figured out there should be a standard way to perform such task.

In other words, something like transaction RSPFPAR for all registered systems. Any references to documents describing how to implement it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello Eduardo,

You should have a look at Configuration Validation scenario...

http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/ConfVal_Home

In case you are "normalizing" the instance parameters values, It would allow you to compare several systems with a 'reference' very easily.

It relies also on the Change and Configuration Database (CCDB) data.

You would want to review Root Cause Analysis > System Analysis > SID > Change Reporting

Now depending on your NW ABAP version you have two locations to review profile parameters:

SID Application Server ABAP > SID Application Server ABAP > ABAP-Profile

SID Application Server ABAP > SID Application Server ABAP > ServerName > Installed on path > Instance > INSTANCE

Highlight the profile you want, and below it will display that profile, and you also get a history/include deleted button; this is all information collected by the CCDB for the systems.

TMK there is no default workcenter option to display all profiles for all systems across the board, but you do get a compare button if you wanted to compare a Dev to Prod scenario, etc etc.
