Hi Experts,

Server:

Product: VM Ware Workstation

Version: 8.0.0 build-471780

Environment: Windows 7 Enterprise (64 bit OS)

SAP BO 4.0 SP8 build 14.0.8

Client:

SAMSUNG ANDROID SMART PHONE.(NOTE 1)

Version: 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)

SAP Business Objects Mobile App

Version: 5.0.2 Build: 1306(000000)

I checked the WAR files are deployed correctly or not with below URL from Android Phone.

http://servername:port/MobileBIService/MessageHandlerServlet?message=GetVersion

Mobile War files were deployed successfully.

In CMC , Under Corporate Categories  we have Mobile Category. Under Mobile we have Dashboard & Reports Category.

Web Intelligence & Crystal Reports are added to this Reports Category under Mobile Category.

We Checked the Properties files in below path:

<Install_Dir>\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\MobileBIService\WEB-INF\config\default

mobi.properties file:

#default

default.corporateCategory=Mobile

default.personalCategory=Mobile

default.category.mobileDesigned=MobileDesigned

default.category.secure=Confidential

default.category.featured=Featured

#ipad

ipad.pagemode=true

#iphone

iphone.pagemode=true

#blackberry mobile

bbphone.pagemode=false

#blackberry Tablet

bbtablet.pagemode=false

#android tablet

#android phone

# for internal use

default.search.resultsPerPage=10

default.search.maxDocuments=500

default.search.maxInstanceOfDocument=5

default.save.maxPages=20

default.discover.maxrows=100

default.documents.cachesize=5

default.imageSize=1048576

ClientSettings.properties file:

savePassword=false

offlineStorage=false

offlineStorage.ttl=365

offlineStorage.appPwd=true

We created connection successfully in Android phone and we can able to login.

We can able to see Secure Connection symbol on top right hand side.

After login Browser Tab is empty.

-We tap refresh, for update list of document.

-Restarting Tomcat in SAP BO Server

- Logoff the connection and reconnect with BO Server

We tried all above still reports are not visible in Android Phone.

DENNIS SUNNY

Add your WebI document to the top level Mobile category.

Crystal Report content is not yet supported on Android.

Hi Karsten Ruf

The issue has been resolved.

Even though we had already added the WebI document to the top level category but it helped to find a bug in the mobi.property file.

Dennis

What was the bug?

From SAP BO 4.0 SP8 onwards ,

- In CMC , Under Corporate Categories  we have MOBILE Category in Capital letters default.

  Under MOBILE we have Dashboard & Reports as Sub Category. Under Reports Category we have sample Web I & Crystal reports

- But in  mobi.properties file:

#default

default.corporateCategory=Mobile

default.personalCategory=Mobile

default.category.mobileDesigned=MobileDesigned

Mobile is in Small Letters.

So Either we have to change mobi.properties according to corporate categories

#default

default.corporateCategory=MOBILE

default.personalCategory=MOBILE

default.category.mobileDesigned=MOBILEDesigned

or

we have to change corporate categories according to mobi.properties

Under Corporate Categories  we have to change Mobile Category to Small letters .

Hi Dennis,

Add Reports in top level two categories 1. Mobile and 2. MobileDesign

HI Dennis,

Categories are blank in BI 4.0 SP8

They have to be created manually Mobile or MOBILE, but they should be exactly as what is defined under mobi.properties

So, i guess it is not a BUG, but a typo!

1. Did you crerate Mobile category in BIlaunchpad and added reports to it ?

2. If you deployed SAP BO 4.0 SP8 build 14.0.8 on Windows 7, you're not supported, so when you run into bugs and need a fix, do not try to get SAP help.
