Archiving in GTS

Hello Gurus,

In GTS when we are trying to archive through SARA, and giving object, we can see system is showing all tables related to that object. But is it possible to select some tables from one object and then archive these table data only.

Hi Suman,

Any business reason for this? In GTS, the linkage between tables is the GUID which would actually be primary key in some other table.

It doesn't make sense to have entries in some tables.

Ideally, it should be removed from all the related tables if not this might lead to table inconsistency.

Hello Dhilipan,

We have received some tables from team and we are asked to archived entries of these tables. But while doing analysis we found that table say /SAPSLL/CORPAR, has assigned to object CUHD, CUPED and LCLIC. But we do not want to archive LCLIC.

So our doubt is if we archive, CUHD object, it will archive table /SAPSLL/CORPAR. But if we open license details which use LCLIC, will that be affected.

Hi Suman,

/SAPSLL/CORPAR contains not only partner functions relevant document, but it also holds partner relevant to license. That's to say archiving for object CUHD is to archive partner related to document only.

One more doubt. table /SAPSLL/CORPAR, has assigned to object CUHD, CUPED and LCLIC. But we want to archive only CUHD.

So, after archive if we open table /SAPSLL/CORPAR, will I be able to see these entries. Or I will be able to see entried which are relevant to object LCLIC and CUPED. And not able to see data related to object CUHD.
