POD URL gets lost after log off

Hi all,

for our worker terminals we only want to use one POD per terminal without ME activity manager.

For that on each terminal we created short cut like this

http://<server>:<port>/manufacturing/com/sap/me/production/client/Pod.jsp?SHOW_LOGOUT=true&WORKSTATI...>

However if a user is logged off manually or due to time out the URL in Internet Explorer changes to point to ME activity manager. So after a user is logging on again, he will see ME activity manager instead of POD. As we do not want our operators to use ME activity manager, we are looking for a way to keep the URL of the POD.

Any ideas how this can be handled?

We are using ME 5.2

Hi Ulrike,

First I would try URL without SHOW_LOGOUT=true.

Though, I have observed such behavior for a while in different releases - so it looks like a design gap as result of technical limitations of HTTP session. This needs a discussion with Product Management. So, it is better to continue this talk within a support ticket or through SAP Consulting.
