Handlin unit output is not created as shipping point is not determined at shipment level

Hello,

We are working with handling unit outputs. HU output should be created and processed immediatly after packing is done at delivery level and shipment level.

Here we created a access with key combination shipping point/ship to. we maintained condition records for combination of shipping point/ ship to party.Then we did packing in shipment. However the HU output is not created.

Then we went to determine analysis of the HU output, there we could see that shipping point is not determined as you can see in the below screen.

Here the problem is shipping point is not determined at shipmen level as shipping point is not directly linked to shipment.In order HU output to be created, shipping poit value has to come in the above screen ( higlighted in yellow).

Could you please give us some inputs how we can get the shipping point at shipmen level to generate HU output.

Could you please indicate with transaction are you using to mantain the condition records for HU output?

Hi Claudio,

I am using VV61/VV62 transactions to maintain condition records.

In order to see HU ouput after packing in the shipment, Go to packing session in the shipment, then select the HU, then go to extras, select output,

Then go to determine analysis to analyze.

So my question is, why don't you create a different condition table that do not consider in the key the shipping point since this field is not directly linked to shipment?

Hello Claudio,

Yes, but business needs to print the HU outputs based on the condition record with shipping point.

For example : shpping point 0001 Normal printer

                     shipping point 0002 Zebra printer....etc.

My question is, can we use some user exits or function modules to fulfill the above requirement.

Hi,

if it is only a matter of "WHERE" to print, you should try to customize the "define print parameters for Shipment" in the customizing :

There you can define

But before this you have to indicate in the output type of HU
