how to update java stack version in netweaver 7.4 in sap

Hi Experts,

I want to update java stack in Netweaver PI 7.4 installed system. Current Java VM version is 1.6.0_43 So how can i find the current version java components which needs to be updated. And also how can i download java components in SMP.

You need to download the relevant stack with MOPZ (Solution manager)

and upgrade with Software Update Manager (SUM)

I believe you want to upgrade the SAP J2EE stack upgrade.

Current Java VM version is 1.6.0_43

This is the JVM you have on the system and this is not the J2EE version.

as suggested by Rihsi, you need to genereate it using solution manager

but you can find the component version

Hi,

Please connect the PI system to solution manager and generate stack file and then download the patch and use SUM tool to update the patch.

 Current Java VM version is 1.6.0_43 

I dont think that PI7.4 uses the above version.i think your java version for the sap system SAPJVM 6.1

You can check the java_home env and this would point to sapjvm.

To download the SMP from.

When you generate the stack file it will go in your download backet and you can download all the patch.

Thanks for the reply for NW 7.4 onwards JSPM is Obsolete which is replaced with SUM (software update Manager) tool.... But can u suggest how can i download java stack in SMP.
