Incorrect contract proposal (item validity date not correct)

Dear experts,

On our Sales Order type we have set the field "On/off switch for messages about outline agreements" as "F - Check at item level and branch directly to selection list".

The issue is that during the sales order creation we are getting a pop-up with the list of contract items which are no valid any longer. The contracts are valid at header level, but not the items.

Can this be solved somehow?

e.g. Contract starts the 01.01.2013 and ends the 31.12.2013. The contract has two items 10 and 20. Item 10 is valid from from 01.01.2013 until the 01.07.2013 while item 20 is valid from 01.01.2013 until the end of the contract 31.12.2013.  While creating a Sales Order for the same partners of the contract and the material of the item 10, we are getting the pop-up despite the fact the current date is higher than 01.07.2013....

This field will help us as to see open contracts when we are going to create a sales document.

Yes, I did.

But the system is showing closed items (belonging to open contracts, right), which I believe is quite misleading.

Any idea? Do you tink an OSS note should be open?
