ERROR 2753

Error 2753 while attempting to reinstall SAP Crystal Reports 2008 was working approx. 6 weeks ago starting getting an error while using Crystal with SPRUCE software , we uninstalled Crystal and attempted to reinstall and we get Error 2753 The File agent. exe. 6ED28686-7B19-420C-B255-5B6C1BD2C-705 is not marked for installation?

If the Crystal Reports is part of SPRUCE software, contact them, see if they can help. The CR build may be a special build that they should be able to help with.

Probably. Now, there are two KBAs that document the error:

1530061 - Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Installation Error 2753

1864395 - Error 2753 when installing SAP Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010

Note that neither is for CR 2008, so I only mention these as a possible clue. However, I am not sure of the actual CR SKU / build, / relationship etc., of CR and SPRUCE software. Is SPRUCE software an OEM partner? Do they include a special build of CR? Or are they just using the CR SDK (NET, Java(?)) to build their own apps?
