Frequent user locks SM_EXTERN_WS and J2EE_ADMIN

hi

We are using SAP Solution Maanger 7,1 SP08 and we did recent system copy from our production system to Deve Solution Manager

In Developemnt solution manager we are facing issue of user lock for the users SM_EXTERN_WS and J2EE_ADMIN gets locked frequently

We have updated correct password in SU01 and SolMAN Setup area

Please help to find in anyother places these users ids being used so tat i can check and update the password

Yes, this can be done. Please go through SAP Note 1493272 throughly and the attachment.For your specific issue, I think it would be better if you add a new thread.

Thanks for your inputs!

I have done the above steps after updating the password in SU01 and Solman-Setup .But still this user is getting locked

Wanted to know if any other place this is being used and change password required ?

Hi Saravana,

SM_EXTERN_WS user suing in the below step,

• Setup DCC Web Service URL
• Create Web Service Notification User

So check the Create Web Service Notification User step, delete the web service and recreate it.

Hi,

Please check the Basic configuration step 2.4or 2.5 ( " setup DCC web service URL")  and follow the below step

Also unlock the user and re-execute the setup DCC web service URL step.
