Yes your correct . their is workaround if you want read from local machince thorugh NFS. you need to mount ur localmachince drive into XI Server then you can do it but it is not best way to do it.

Hi Ranjeet,

even if you use NFS then also file need to put on XI server.. location... - Yes

by NFS, you can access any file which you can access through your XI file-server system.....

hi ,

i tried puting my file on FTP server. Adapter is up and running but still file is not getting picked up..

What could be the reason?

I thinks for picking up the file i need to make this path ftp enabled...

Ranjeeth.

you need to change in our sender file adapter Transportporotocl from NFS to FTP to use FTP. then you the FTP path where file is their to pick the file

Hi Ranjit,

for picking the file from FTP server, you will use FTP protocol and not NFS....

Hi Ranjeet,

in source directory, give the complete path starting from root to your source folder..

give filename.....

if your OS is unix or linux, then see the file permissions it should be 777...choose process mode delete ...then if your file is deleted by XI, then it means your file is picked by XI.....

then your file will be picked by file adpter by NFS......

Thanks,

Hi Ranjeet,

If at all if you are using NFS it should pick the file. Please check the source directory path which you have given and also verify the correspondign parameters in the communication channel.

Hope I am clear.

Please let me know for any more queries..!

Thanks and Regards,

Chandu.
