How can interface attributes be used in business blueprint documents?

Hi experts, in SOLAR01 under interface scenarios, when I assign attributes to interfaces like IDoc message type, BAPI etc., how can this information be used in the blueprint document? I'm thinking about a list of specified interfaces.

Thanks, best regards, Martin

Hi Martin

Here is a best practice document of SAP on interface documentation:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d0bffaad-16dd-2d10-01a7-80c7723c3...

I'm not sure this will answer your question because it's not really clear to me what exactly you are looking for .

Have a look at the above document and let me know if it has the information you are looking for or not.

Reporting wise, you can use transction SOLAR_EVAL to report on your business process structure information.

Best regards

Thanks Tom I know this document, I'm talking about SAP attributes on page 17, screenshot in the upper-right corner. How will this information be used in the generated Business Blueprint document?

Our requirement is a list of interfaces in the Blueprint document. So I wonder if such a list could be generated via interface scenarios and those attributes.

Hi Martin

The real value is not achieved by just documenting by actually when you link them with business process in graphics tab to get the full view.

for e.g when you configure business process monitoring functionality of solman for ur business process with interface you can actually do end to end monitoring covering all the interfaces like idocs....trasaction codes,...performance etc

or you can use busines process blueprinting to do the same

hope this helps

Thanks Prakhar and I agree, but I still don't know how interface attributes will be used in the generated blueprint document, please refer to my update http://scn.sap.com/message/14557477#14557477.

Hi Martin,

Do you want to generate the business blueprint from solar01 like below.

this is generated by a standard Macro in the word document

Thanks Prakhar, then I guess the interface attributes are not included in the Blueprint?

Hi Martin,

Basically there is a macro SAP_BUSINESS_BLUEPRINT which generates the entire blueprint in the word document which I don't think covers your requirement

so you need to design something as per your need.
