De Centralized Adapter Engine in SAP PI 7.0?

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement here. There are some 30 interfaces in our landscape which carry the data related to WMS and all these interfaces are very critical and these interfaces go and update the WMS database using a JDBC adapter.

Along with these 30 interfaces there are other interfaces which carry the Master data and update another Database and even this uses JDBC Adapter, and there is huge number of master data flowing everyday, which causes the delay in processing the messages of WMS which is very critical and hence the business will be severely affected.

So my plan was to setup a De centralized Adapter only for these 30 WMS interfaces, so that other data flow will not affect these interfaces. So my question is do we have a de centralized adapater engine in SAP PI 7.0? If yes, then please let us know if it will be suitable to my scenario. Please share the documents related to De Centralized Adapter Engine if you have any.

If you have any other suggestion in order to solve the problem of delays with these interfaces then please let me know.

Regards,
Nitin

Hi Nitin.

Yes. You can install de central AE on PI 7.0.

You can move business critical interfaces to run on DAE.

Please refer to the below blog on how to setup.

Hi Nitin,

I think if you want to increase the performance in you critical scenarios the best way is to follow the decentralized adapter engine in separate server, as you propose.

You can check the Master guide 7.0 about the de-central installation, but i havent found a how to procedure. The only available procedure that i know is with 7.1 http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10cf9746-e819-2c10-bd82-97bfbde82.... Also you have this blog http://scn.sap.com/people/ujjwal.kumar2/blog/2008/06/02/basic-steps-in-decentralized-adapter-engine, but unfortunately the images dont appear.

Regards.
