Netweaver 7.40: Unable find Label

Hi SAP-Community,

I was installing Netweaver 7.40 while I was getting an error. I had to choose the package directory for the medium UC Kernel NW740, so I followed this instructions. But I got an error, it says that it is the wrong label:

You entered: E:\SAP Software\SAP_Kernel_7.40_Windows_x64_\DATA_UNITS\K_740_N_WINDOWS_X86_64

Found the label SAP:AKK:740:KERNEL:SAP Kernel 740:WINDOWS_X86_64:CD51030xxx but need the label SAP:AKK:74:UKERNEL:*:WINDOWS_X86_64:*    

I attached a screenshot about this error.

Hi Macro,

Just give this path alone,

F:\Media\Kernel\51046232_2_\SAP_Kernel_7.40_Windows_x64_\LABEL.ASC

Hello Kartik,

I just would like to remember that it is not correct setting LABLE.ASC file directly in Installer. You always must set the directory where it is located.

Checking in the SAP Marketplace, you can see that the Kernel media you need to use is 51046232_2.

You can find this media under:

But in fact I would suggest you to follow as described by SAP note:
1654937 - How to correctly build the SAP Netweaver Kernel Media 

It shows it is necessary to mount the 4 parts of the kernel. But the Kernel 740 has only 3 parts:

51046232_1	SAP KERNEL 7.40 NUC Windows Server on x64 64 Bit
51046232_2	SAP KERNEL 7.40 UC Windows Server on x64 64 Bit
51046232_3	SL CONTROLLER 740

I hope this information can help you to continue the installation.

To avoid any issue during the installation regarding the kernel media, I would suggest you to download and mount these 3 medias in the same directory as described in the note above.

To be safe you need to download all Kernel-realted media (e.g. all files starting with 51046232) and extract them in the right order one by one (first: 51046232_1, second: 51046232_2 and so on)

Always overwrite files already existing.

Also enter only E:\SAP Software\SAP_Kernel_7.40_Windows_x64_ as input, not anything within DATA_UNITS folder.

As per the media guide.

SAP KERNEL

SAP KERNEL 7.40

Windows Server on x64 64bit

Mat. No. 51046232

This is the DVD that you need but one thing just wanted to check if you have checked the current os in the PAM and if it is supported as you SWPM is looking for X86_64.
