Account grp

I am trying to create a new customer master ...i have opted for account grp sold t party and entered a sales area but when i save ...it givess me a mess---ACCOUNT GRPSOLD TO PARTY USES INTERNAL NO ASSIGNMENT ; LEAVE BLANK

please help me with regrds to how to get rid of this mess

Hi Madan,

The Account group which you are using has internal number assignments tat means systeam will generate the customer number for those account group.

when you create the customer master in this account group just leave the customer number field " Blank".

if you want to give the customer number, go to Tcode:OVZC, select change interval-- make the no, range which is assigned to your account group as "external", tick in Ext-- field.

Hi Madan,

U please dont enter customer no when u r creating the record,. as the message tells u that sold party uses internal no ranges. so system will through the no automatically according the no ranges stored in that particular account group.

that account group is external number range.pls enter the customer code
