disp+work Running but Dialog Queue info unavailable

Hi All,

I have upgraded the solution manager kernel to the latest patch level 500. But afer the updating of patch the SAP system is up and running now but the disp+work displays in yellow colour with message  Running but  Dialog Queue info unavailable .

Both disp+work and sapstartsrv are in same patch level.

Attached the image of the same.

Please help on this.

Please post more logs. Are you able to access the system do you see any error in the dev_w0 .

I dont see errors in dev_wo.

Hi,

What do you see in the below logs.

\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\<sapinstance>\work\sapstartsrv*

is this the first system where you have upgraded the kernel or other system went fine.(Why i am asking to get sure that its not kernel bug)

After installation of Solution Manager 7.1 this is the first time for kernel update. And in sapstartsrv it shows as below.

Hi,

If this is not a HA installation then as per the note the message can be ignored.

1929468 - SAP_HA_FAIL error outputed in the sapstartsrv.log on non clustered system

Can try to patch sapstartsrv to 518 and see. Did you try to go for reboot the windows and see if it fixes the issue.

Finally a Reboot of a system worked.

FInally a Restart of an OS worked. After the complete restart and updated the kernel to the latest one from SP  level 114 to SP level 500.

Hi,

Could you check whether all the files are fully uncared or not.

Generally it happens when the SAPCAR  is put in the same folder same as .CAR files.

Moving SAPCAR to other folder helps.

While updating the kernel, did you stopped all the services esp sapstartsrv.exe.

I have stopped the the SAP system and updated the kernel and again started it.

Do i need to stop sapstartsrv.exe some where specifically other than from SAPMMC?

Hi Sudhakar,

can you paste the patch level screenshot of disp+work.exe and sapstartsrv.exe from services.msc-- SAPSIDinstancenumber -version.

Try this change the startup type of SAPSID_instancenr service to manual and replace the kernel, revert back to automatic.
