Department field in item details to be mandatory in sales order (VA01) for a particular division in sap

Dear Gurus,

I am facing a small problem.

I want to make the department field in the item details part while creating sales order (VA01) to be mandatory for a particular division.

We have got 5 division in our organistion out of which one department has this particular requirement.

Can any please suggest on this. Is there any possibilities for this.

you can go through as per the members suggested or define a new sales document type for this particular division and make the Department Mandatory through sale order incompletion log or

through transaction variantSHD0

As explained in the document

Set default values for division and change division to read only.

You can also create a sperate T code for the transaction varaint and restrict the division folks to use that t code only where division is hardcoded.

Hi,

use USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBKD or USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE in MV45AFZZ. Ask the help of an abaper.
