Hi,
I have a dual stack system P01 (ABAP) and P02 (Java). I have added/changed security parameters for ABAP system.
Is it require to stop SAP on both P01 and P02 or P01 only to take the parameters effect.
Both P01 and P02 having the same database and residing on same host.
Regards
Subbu
Hi Subbu,
If your system is not a dual stack you have to start only abap system to effect the security parameter
But if you have dual stack you have to start both java aswell abap system as Mr.rishi told....

make sure you only stop ABAP part of P01 and not database.. something like stopsap r3.

Hi,
As you have change the abap security parameters so logically you dont need to start or stop the java system.
But if it is dual stack or the java system has the ume pointing to the backend you will have to stop the java too before stopping the abap or while stopping the abap system.
Thanks

Hi Subbu,
Restart P01 system.

HEllo Subbu,
Is it a 1 dual stack system or 2 seperate abap & java systems?
As u have mentioned 2 SID so i'll assume it as 2 systems. In that case you need to restart only the Abap system.
