How to enable 'Add a data base ranking' on query panel

Could you please suggest how to enable 'Add a data base ranking' in query panel .

Yes. I am talking about database ranking in query filter panel of webi .

I am not changed any preferences. I am using BO 4.0

This function only works in ranking is supported for your database and not all database support rank at database level.

If ts supported then the button marked in the screenshot should be enabled... If you still face issue and you are sure the ranking is available please check the  .prm file for your database is the having Rank_Supported = Yes or not..

Hi Mishra,

We are using the oracle database . 'Add a data base ranking' icon is enabled in BO 3.1 environment but same is disabled in BO 4.0 environment .

I came to know that 'Add a database ranking' disabled if we are using multi data source connection ( IDT) .

Hi Venkat,

Try to use Dense_rank function at universe level for the measure you need to Rank.

Are you talking about the Database ranking in the Query Filter panel of WebI??

Did you try changing the preference from Web to Rich Client?? Not quite sure though why it would be greyed out.

Also may I know which version of BO you are using??
