Hi,
We are transporting request from development to QAS. But while transporting request it asks for the password for QA system.
How can I avoid password popup while transporting request?
Regards,
Arpit.
Hi Ram,
Thank you for your ans.
I would like to know below things before I cleanup the TMS.
1. If I logged into DEV system. STMS ---> Select the transport queue of QAS -->Select the request from qas queue--->Import
Here it ask for the password. Is it normal?
2.If I logged into QAS system, STMS ---> Select the transport queue of QAS -->Select the request from qas queue--->Import
Here it does not ask for the password.
This is normal in transport configuration? Could you please help.
Regards,
Arpit

Hi,
@RB,
I tried. but it did not work.
logged into DEV system
executed STMS and selected the queue of quality system and trying to import request in QAS from DEV [ Note:logged into DEV ]
Is it supposed to ask question while importing request to QAS from DEV system?

Arpit

To import a transport request into a system you need to login to that particular system to import it.
If STMS doesn't prompt for a password if you follow the above suggestion then it should be alright.

Hi,
We have below parameters configured in the system. Do you think these parameters are creating problem of password pop up?
login/min_password_diff=1
login/min_password_digits=0
login/min_password_letters=0
login/min_password_lng=6
login/min_password_lowercase=0
login/min_password_specials=0
login/min_password_uppercase=0
login/password_downwards_compatibility=1
Also we have separate transport dir for DEV,QA,PRD.
I have deleted TMSADM user and regenerated RFCS.
Executed report TMS_UPDATE_PWD_OF_TMSADM but still it is asking for password while transporting?
Do I have to delete TMS? I am little worried about deleting TMS.
Could you please tell me the way to get rid of logon popup while transporting request.

Arpit

This is because one of the TMSADM user passwords maintained in the RFC's TMSADM@ is incorrect. You need to correct the password for the TMSADM user in the RFC.
Go to each system and call Tx SM59 and do an authorization test for all the TMSADM RFC's.

Hello Arpit,
Please check your instance profile if you have password rules define over there.
You can check below mentioned notes:
1. 1568362 - TMSADM password change
2. 761637 - Logon restrictions prevent TMSADM logon
Also check below mentioned link:
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SL/Changing+the+TMSADM+password
I would suggest you delete the configuration in three systems and reconfigure as per note 761637. Please read this note carefully.
Rgds,
Sachin
