Naveen Sharma ,

It's still not work......if remove the field size.

if T1 has 20 character, it will show all characters and can't truncate...even though setting the tab......so it affects the following cols. in the same row......

I've changed the tabt setting

1) 6 ch left

2) 15 ch left

3) 97 mm left

..

..

but

T1&,,&T2(9)&,,&T3(14)&,.....

the gap between T2 and T3 is still have a large space.

what should i do...coz i want to show get more length to display in the report...don't want to have a large gap to waste...

Hi,

How you are creating the tabs. If the tabs you are mentioning is not current meaning then system will take default length and print randomely.

Meaning for example your tabs T1(5) chs and (T2) is for 10 characters left then first 12345 -- will be T1 abcdedfghij --T2. So try to position your tabs correctly and when give the T3 also in characters COUNT this also from left.

12345abcdefghij.

U JUST REMOVE THE SIZE FIELD GIVEN IN THE BRACES WITH EACH FIELD

AND USE ONLY TAB SETTING........

e.g: &d&,,&f& instead of &d(3)&,,&f(4)&

hope it will solve ur problem

reward points...if helpful

Hi,

If you are not getting the output exactly in your desire format and you are printing the variable by counting the characters then it's better you define the tabs in character format (CH) instead of (mm).

so for example if T1 contains 10 characters give first tab as 12 CHs 2 character for space. like soon.

Is it any possible about the setting of "STANDARD" properties?
