Hi experts,

I am in Solution Manager 7.1, step Managed Systems Configuration (the managed system is Solman itself at this time).

In step 2: Check Prerequisites I am getting error:

Solution Manager does not fulfill the Diagnostics prerequisites

The problem is that there is no much info what is really missing.

Could you share your suggestions on this?

Regards,

SH

Hi ,

If shows " Solution Manager does not fulfill the Diagnostics prerequisites" means having the issue in the solution manager system.

Check in the system preparation, step -2 (Check Software Prerequisites) log for details

"To perform this activity manually, check the below steps:

  1. Click the link in the Navigation column to open SAP Note 1483508.
  2. Refer to the entry corresponding to the SAP Solution Manager system Support Package.
  3. Update the SAP Solution Manager system as needed to fulfill these software requirements."

Hi Karthik,

Thanks for pointing out this.

I've come through the Note, upgraded LM-Service, reexecuted the steps in configuration.

in my case, Step 2.5 (2.5 Solution Manager Internal Connectivity).

Run Java upgrader, and everything seems to be ok. but still the issue is the same.

HI,

Go to system preparation -> step 2. check installation -> Check Software
Prerequisites
and check the status of the activities and logs

Hi,

Managed system setup check the software prerequisities  for both managed system and solution manager diagnostic prerequisities

This step check the below activites

Default Settings

Activities

Follow at least the recommendations listed in SAP Note 1483508 to comply with
the Root Cause Analysis requirements
(https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1483508)

Note that a Diagnostics Agent must already been connected to the Solution
Manager (cf System Preparation scenario -> Step 6.4 Connect Diagnostics
Agent).

paste the Detail show log and screen .

Well, isn't is strange that in system preparation it says that "Solman fulfills the Diagnostic prerequisites but in this step" it says that not.

it is either a bug or there must be some release/patch inconsistency.

Now, I get something i did not get before and still seems to be strange:

From SPAM I get:

The reported error seems irrelevant.

Hi,

Try the below step in solution manager

  • In SE38 run report RLMDB_SYNC_TECHNICAL_SYSTEM specify for the SLD, ACTIVE, and the SID and execute. ( SID: solman system)

  • For Solution Manager SP08 also update LM-SERVICE to SP8

I run the report and the situation is the same.

LM-Service fulfills the prerequisite, as it is said in the logs.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

I checked what the notes says and actually in Landscape Browser there are the wrong versions of the components.

I need to send SAP a note I guess (as it is implied in the note).

Update:

The problem was with SLD.

I re-run RZ70 and the problem was resolved; The LMDB data is now correctly updated and the data is shown as it should.

Thanks everybody for your valuable help.

Kind Regards

Hi,

Probably the SAP Solution Tool Plug-In (ST-PI) is meant. So please check this and upgrade it to the latest SP.

Hi,

There may be lots of reason for this,

1. DIA agent, OS collector with proper release level

2. FQDN host name maintenance

3. error in DIA agent registration

check the E2E diagnostic agent troubleshooting guide from here

http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMSETUP/Diagnostics+Agent+Troubleshooting

and the setup guide from here

http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/RCA_Home]

Please check

Thanks

Hi Jansi, Thanks for the links.

In Managed Systems, hosts tab, I have this situation:

on the other hand,

The agent is Started and Connected.

The AGENT_NOT_FOUND and the missing Server Name in Agents Administration seems to point to some problem. Do you have any suggestion?

1. DIA agent, OS collector with proper release level

I have updated and i think it is ok.

2. FQDN host name maintenance

i have maintained FQDN

3. error in DIA agent registration

there seems to a problem with this, but do not know exactly where to look for.

Thanks,

SH

Hi,

Well, SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 08 was installed in this system. Also,

1775242  - SAP Solution Manager - basic function 7.1 SP8 was implemented.

Is there something I am missing from your post?

Hi SH

The latest  best practice recommendation from SAP is to use Diag Agents on the fly (not only for HA support):

http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMSETUP/Diagnostics+Agent+and+HA+Support?original_fqdn=wiki.sdn...

The wiki page contains the needed information on how to install / configure and post process.

Your agent in "NOT FOUND" in your managed SAP system setup because the server name is not set. From within Agent Administration you should be able to right click that agent and set the server name from there.

Best regards

Tom
