Resource utilization in SNP

Hi Folks,

We have CTM planning runs to plan receipt elements to satisfy demands.

Is there a way to find out resource consumption after CTM planning is executed. I am specifically looking for is

- which products & planned orders are scheduled/planned at which resources and in which time periods (buckets). we have bucket planning for resources.

Is there any standard report that can provide this data?

Any insights are welcome.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Hi, if CTM creats SNP type order, you can use SNP capacity view, if PPDS order is created, you can use PPDS planning board. Transaction /SAPAPO/CDPS_REPT may also help.

As standard there is no Report as such, you would usually review the results of any SNP Planning (CTM included) by using a Resource Data View in Transaction /SAPAPO?SDP94. There is a standard one to use in Planning Book 9ASNP94, Data View SNP94(2) - CAPACITY CHECK.

You then select one or more Resources which will give you the Plan in terms of Capacity in the top grid and quantity in the lower grid. You can then manipulate this view to show you the Quantities per Time Bucket per Resource.

To do this you need to add Resource as a Selection Button in the Header Row and use this to Select - Details (All).

Then you need to select "Display Dependant Objects" button and use either "Products" or "PPM/PDS" which will then show you all the Products for the Selected Resources. You can then use Pivot Sort to move the Resource before the Key Figures to show Production by Resource.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your reply. I tried what you have suggested. For some reason, it does not work. Refer screen shot below

there is no drill down in the second table in the grid and also the APO Resource/APO product fields are blank. there is no customization in the planning book/data view....it is just a copy of the standard planning book you mentioned in your reply. Maybe, this is a bug??

Hi

When you selected the  "Display Dependant Objects" button, did you get any errors shown or did it pop up a list of Products to select from?

If you try and reselect the "Display Dependant Objects" after it has failed for some reason it will not show anything in the bottom of the screen like your example.

Try the following:

Select two or more resources and load the data.

Click on the Resource Total button in the header and select "Details (all)"

Click on "Display Dependant Objects" and select "PPM,PDS"

(If you get a pop up to ask to restrict the entries then just check a few of the entries for now)

The bottom grid should now show Key Figure/APO Resource/APO PPM/PDS Name
