Dear Experts,
In our Production database, SOC3 table size is 100GB with LOB segment of 70GB. As we know, To reorg 100+70GB table offline, we require long downtime, which is difficult to get.
So, We are considering online reorganization. we are having below queries:-
1) Is it advisable to reorg LOB segment table
2) What is the impact/issues of doing Online reorganization of Table-> SOC3 ?
3) How much space require in TEMP & UNDO tablespace?
4) Ideally, How much time it take for 100GB if we go for online reorg.
Oracle release is 11.2.0.3.0
Please help
Thanks
Sumit.
1) Is it advisable to reorg LOB segment table
Refer the http://scn.sap.com/thread/3370584
2) What is the impact/issues of doing Online reorganization of Table-> SOC3 ?
If the table is used quit frequently. it may have over all SAP performance and DB load increases, better you can perform off peak time or offline refer the scn link http://scn.sap.com/thread/3370584

3) How much space require in TEMP & UNDO tablespace?
Based on you DB size. during this process you have to keep on eye on Temp, undo table space.and disk space
4) Ideally, How much time it take for 100GB if we go for online reorg.
Based on your resource availability and during the reorg process what is load on the system. better you can take it in to off line and than perform the reorg.
Normally if you are doing the first time it may taken some time,
