Solman 7.1 for VAR Installation

Hello,

I need to install/configure a Solution Manager 7.1 for VAR. I've found a configuration guide (https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001075532012E.PDF) for SPS8, however, I've some doubts about the installation:

Do I need to apply an add-on(s) before starting the configuration? or use another software media for It's installation than the regular use for solman 7.1?

Hi JAM

Should be exactly same media. The difference is really in the customizing / configuration, you'll do some additional steps to have the VAR scenario up and running.

Hi,

If you are a VAR service provider there are legally register your customer number as value added reseller with SAP

Installation of solution manager would be very same for all. But after that you need to setup the communication channels in a way for both VAR SOlman and SAP.
