Hi !
We are converting our PI installation to high availability. Currently, we have some XXX->WS scenarios where we use a SSL certificate. When adding an additional host to the PI installation, do we have to create a new SSL certificate for each PI host, as well as firewall rules, or is it possible to have just one exit point to the target business systems? thus having just one SSL certificate and just 1 set of firewall rules related to that only exit-point?
Thanks
Kind regards
Matias.
Hello Matias,
I don't think you need to have a certificate for each instance. Only one certificate should suffice once the PI HA configurations are set up as per note 1052984 Process Integration 7.1 - High Availability. As per this note, there are no changes required with regards to certificates.
Regards
Mark
