Hi All,

We have recently upgraded our HANA to patch level 69. Now we are getting dumps on SPRO & RSA1 transaction.

Category           Installation Errors
Runtime Errors     DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
Except.            CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time

Short text

SQL error "-10760" when accessing table "BALHDR".

What happened?

Error Text of the Database: "Memory allocation failed."

Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/UPDT/BALHDR ]"

Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).

Error analysis

An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
in
procedure "BAL_DB_INTERNAL_NO_UPDATE_TASK" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated
by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
Error Text of the Database: "Memory allocation failed."

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able t

find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following

keywords:

"DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB"

"SAPLSBAL_DB_INTERNAL" or "LSBAL_DB_INTERNALU02"

"BAL_DB_INTERNAL_NO_UPDATE_TASK"

Any hint to resolve this issue.

Regards,

Rafikul

This is normally caused by a version mismatch. The following all have to be in sync:

- SAP HANA Database

- SAP HANA Client (if applicable) on HANA appliance

- SAP HANA Client on BW App Server

- Kernel (both generic and HDB specific version)

Update all of these 4 to the same version and you should be good.

Hi John,

Thanks for reply.

Yes you are right. In my case there seems kernel sync have some issue( point 4) .Once I did the kernel up-gradation in the system the issue got resolved now.

we installed latest kernel -> did not help

we installed latest dw-package and dbhslib -> did not help

we installed latest hdbclient (PL70) -> now it was working

Patching of the HANA Server (is still on PL64) was not necessary.

Hi Rafikul,

sorry I have no solution to this Topic - but I'm getting the same type of error when applying Support packages in new installed ERP6 EHP7 System.

Error occurs in activation:

Short Text
SQL error "-10760" occurred while accessing table "DD04L".

What happened?
Database error text: "Memory allocation failed.".
