Hi expert,

We are performing an archiving of fi documents and in order to complete archiving sessions we are performing the deletion of entries from tha main FI_documnt archiving object.

What we expect is that the current tables doesnt grow but there is a table zarixfi of infostucture that is growing.

Is this right? What is going on?

If we are archiving we must let that this table grows?

Please advice.

Dear Sargan MC,

This table would be called when the data has been archived and when user

creates the infostructure to view the archvied data

Maintain the indexes (ZARIXFIXX table) by removing the older
indexes which are no longer in use, you can improve performance even
further. For instance, say you have infostructures maintained for year
2000 onwards and you are no longer using data previous to 2005 for example for
reporting purposes, then you can delete infostructures for the year
before 2005. This way the number of entries in the ZARIXFI2 will be
reduced and thereby reporting will be faster.

Also, you can create indexes based on the input search criteria you
intend to provide (when you are searching through SARI), this will also
improve the performance to an extent based on the search criteria."

Paul

Hi Paul,

Do you know is safe to empty the infrostructure and desactivate it?

What are the impact of it?

Cheers

Hi Paul Power,

if I want to create index for this table ZARIXFI2, how can i do that since this table is always stored in PACKAGE : $ TMP means in LOCAL OBJECT. When I have activated the info structure it was not asked for any package.

Since it is not transportable, should we create the index for this table directly in QAS and PRD server or is there any other ways to do that.

Hi Paul,

I am relatively new to archiving.  You mentioned deleting records from the  ZARIXFI2 table.  Can you tell me how you would delete records from this table?  Is it safe to do this?

Regards,

Steve
