Issue in Customized and Standard Sales Document Type - SAP Best Practices

Dear Experts,

I have a query in SAP Best Practices Baseline Package localized for India - V2.607 -Building Blocks which is given in the following link.

When I check In building block no. 119 which is for Customer Consignment Processing. Here you see the document types in VOV8 for :-

  Description              Customized           Standard       

Consignment Fill Up -      YBKB                    KB

Consignment Issue -       YBKE                    KE

Consignment Return -     YBKR                    KR

Consignment Pick Up -   YBKA                    KA

Though both are "almost" same If I see, but why SAP has given these document types and which document type should I use for the configuration purpose. Does it affect anywhere?

Hi,

The documet types which are starting with Y are not the standard

These are Arrived after copying the standard Documet types KB ,KE,KR,KA

Dear Siva,

I see it but I think they are not copied but the customized non standard one, which is given by SAP. My question is why it has been given by SAP and what it makes a difference. And which one I need to choose.

Hi,

As per the SAP standards the best Practice is not to use the standard Document types, instead make a copy of the standard and make neccessary settings as per your Requirements.
