SAP OEE Management 1.0 - Default Components & Settings

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We have SAP OEE Management 1.0 installed.

We have followed OEE_ADMINGUIDE_MII document for the post installation stuff like running 3 different CTC templates (SAP OEE NetWeaver Configurations, SAP OEE Integration & SAP OEE Configurations).

After running the CTC templates, will those create entries in Schedulers, Message Processing Rules and various other MII components like default transactions for IDOC message enqueuer, IDOC message processor and many more ?

Which are the different Workbench components (in the default project - SAPMPM) available after installing SAP OEE standard solution ?

Which sections of MII (like Schedulers, Message Listener, Message Processing Rules, System Jobs, ERP-Shop Floor Integration, Worker UI Management..etc) are updated with default entries after running OEE related CTC templates ?

Thanks,

Sumit

Hi Sumit,

Below are the details of the CTCs:

1. SAP OEE Netweaver Configuration:

Creates UME roles and technical users.

2. SAP OEE Configuration:

Creates SAP delivered Dashboards and other technical objects relevant for the specified client and plant.

3. SAP OEE Integration Configuration:

  1.      Creates Workflows for the different message types. Can be found under MII Menu: ERP - Shop Floor Integration -> Workflow Configurations
  2. Creates an entry in Supported Plants.  Can be found under MII Menu: ERP - Shop Floor Integration -> Supported Plants. The SAP ERP JRA Factory Name signifies the connection used for outbound communications with SAP ERP. This JRA factory is created by the CTC (names of factory is an input to the CTC). The SAP ERP Plant Time Zone signifies the timezone that the Plant is in. So, as an example, lets assume that it is set to IST, then SAP OEE validates that the timezone of the system from which the user is logged in is IST.
  3. Creates a message listener. You need to go to MII Menu: Message Services -. Message Listeners, select the Message Listener you selected while running the CTC, and click on Update. This is a Post CTC Execution Step.
  4. Creates a message processing rule.
  5. Creates Data Server.
  6. Creates Schedulers:
    1. Confirmation Enqueuer - Sends order confirmations to ERP at scheduled intervals.
    2. Inbound Message Enqueuer - Processes Messages and puts into OEE Queue (can be found under ERP Shop Floor Integration -> Queue Monitor).
    3. Message Dispatcher - Processes Messages and persists data in OEE.
    4. Queue Message Cleaner - Cleans up messages from the queue at scheduled intevals.

Once you have executed the CTCs, you need to send the Master Data from SAP ERP.

Once done, you need to assign the dashboards to UME user groups. And then you should be able to have the dashboard running.

This basically summarizes the whole process on the MII and OEE side...

Hope this helps.

Thanks Sulaksh.

We've run the CTC templates. Following are our outcome after running the CTC wizard -

1) Workflows - workflows entries are  created

2) Supported Plant - No such entry in this section

3) Message Listener - The message listener used in CTC step is updated post CTC and its connected.

4) Message Processing Rules - not a single entry found after CTC

5) Data Servers - no new data server entry related to OEE

6) Schedulers - not a single entry found after CTC

Can you please highlight as what could have gone wrong with running the templates ?

Can running the templates once again fix the missing entries ?

Best Regards,

Sumit

Hi Sumit,

In this case, I would suggest that you run the SAP OEE Netweaver Configuration CTC again, and then execute SAP OEE Integration Configuration again as well. That should resolve the issue.

Make sure that you execute these one after the other, as the situation that you mentioned can occur if the IP address of the system changes (can happen if it's not static IP).

Hope this helps.

Sulaksh
