Reversal using VL09

Hi,

we need help regarding reversal of material docs (GI/GR) using VL09 whenever HUs are involved.

Client's requirement is to be able to reverse deliveries even if HUs
have been changed.

Asper the process GI is done from outbound delivery and then GR w.r.t
to Inbound delivery.
as the quantities were booked incorrectly user reversed GR and then
while trying to reverse GI encounters various error messages related to
HUs (HUDIALOG304,HUFUNCTIONS 272 etc etc).

we implemented the below oss notes

1522460 - Error HUDIALOG 304 raised during goods movement cancellation
1507693 - Goods issue reversal not possible due to error HUDIALOG304

but still its not possible to reverse all the deliveries.

in the past we had raised OSS message where SAP had suggested to do a
STO in the reverse direction as per the OSS note 1790073.
but we need an alternative solution than creating a STO in the reverse
direction as this is not acceptable by bisiness.

as a temporary workaround SAP user to change the status from 20 to 60
in VEKP for affected HUs but this worked in some cases.

we are looking for a solution where while delivery reversal system
should not check for HUs status.

Dear Prp M,

VL09 and also HUCANC are allowed only for unchanged Handling Units and that is in order to avoid inconsistencies.

Note 1083602 describes a solution to reverse the STO process with Hu involved, but that is possible only if GR has not been done yet. If Gr has already been posted to the inbound delivery only a posting in the opposite direction is possible.

Thanks for the response.

as you mentioned this is only possible if GR has not been booked but in our case due to incorrect booking users are trying to reverse GR and hence GI .

we are getting the below error while trying VL09.

è  There is no material document that can be cancelled in these HUs' history

è Handling unit 354102280331251901 was already cancelled - you cannot cancel it again

furthermore we are able to see the HUs only in document flow but we are not able to navigate from delivery to these HUs.

Dear Prp M,

You can not navigate to the Hu from the document flow, because it is not anymore assigned to that delivery. It might be an inconsistency between Hu and document flow.

Please check table fields VEKP-VPOBJ and VEKP-VPOBJKEY. When HU is assigned to a

delivery:

• VEKP-VPOBJ should has value '01' (outbound delivery)  / '03' (inbound
  delivery). 
• VEKP-VPOBJKEY should be filled with the number of that delivery.
• If field VEKP-VPOBJ has other value than '01' / '03', the HU is not assigned
  to delivery.
• If the value of VEKP-VPOBJKEY is not equal to the delivery number, the HU is
  not assinged to this delivery.

KBA 1472803 contains more information and solution on this.

Regarding the cancellability of the goods movement you also need to check the Hu history table VEVW. You can reverse the goods movement only if that was the last one on that Hu.
