why material description is not coming in cn41n project structure report

Hi Expert,

could you please let me know why material description is not coming in cn41n project structure report. although in sap standard it shuld come in report is fetching item text only but when item text is blank then materail description is coming if item text is there then report is fetching only item description.

so please let me know why standard sap report cn41n behaviour?

see the right part of cj20n under idenctification of view selection. where item 0010 then it's text ..........

if text is there then cns41 will not show materail description now report will display item text.

That is CN41N standard behavior.  Text you enter overrides the standard text in this report.

in report cn41n materail description should come (if we put long text) which is not coming (if we don't put long text) then material description come in report.

I am assuming this is on component lines.  SAP assumes that text you enter should take precedent over the standard material master description.  Information entered by the user has a higher priority than the standard description.
