Is outbound RFC call possible from SAP to Non-SAP system ?

Hi Experts,

I have a scenario, whenever a document is being created/changed Non-SAP System needs to be notified that particular document is being changed.

I want to know, if it is possible to call the Non-SAP RFC from SAP system. I just need to send document number details to Non-SAP system.

So, my basic question is, whether an outbound RFC call is possible from SAP to Non-SAP system, using an RFC Destination ?

Targest host has to be update with Non-SAP systme details while defining the RFC

I think better option is to trigger an idoc by maintaining partner profile (WE20) and output determination (NACE).

Yes its possible to call the Non-SAP RFC from SAP system for sending the document number details to a Non-SAP system.

We have options like using EDI or IDoc. If you could elaborate your question then it will be easier to understand and suggest a solution by the SD Experts..
