Standard and Write Optimized DSO

Hi All

Since we know reporting is available on both Standard as well as on Write Optimized DSO while Write optimized does not require SID generation which saves time, So why and when we need to go for Standard or Write Optimized DSO??

Hi Kushal,

Yes reporting is possible in both DSO's,

1) but reporting based write optimized DSO may cause performance issue it is basically because of SID generation during report execution

2) there may be incorrect query out put it is because of duplication of records during data load if you uncheck the uniqueness of record & sementic key.

3) It will be usefull for smaller amount of data

4) Data loading will be faster because it wont generate SID in comparison with std DSO.
